This painting represents my desire to hold on to my connection to my Korean heritage. The hand drags traditionally-drawn flowers from their natural place, tethered by a red string symbolizing my blood ties. The lily pads and flowers, traditional Korean motifs, are portrayed using a mix of acrylic and Korean paints, highlighting a fusion of Korean and American cultures.
